20 Years of BSES

The year 2022 marks a milestone in BSES’ journey of ‘Powering Delhi and Empowering Consumers’. This journey completes 20 years on July 01, 2022. In the last two decades, BSES has transformed itself into a consumer friendly, ‘green’ discom with increased digitization of its services.

On the 20th anniversary, BSES planned to run a month-long BTL campaign, promoting the achievements of BSES.

A couple of years after, BSES celebrated the 22-Years of BSES. With rapid advancements in sustainable power generation, BSES ran the campaign to showcase rapid development in the power sector — going on to benefit the citizens of Delhi, and meet modern India’s substantial expectations.

As the pace of technological advancements soars rapidly, it became imperative for BSES to keep their principal stakeholders — the people of Delhi — abreast about their quarterly achievements and progress. Thus came the BSES digital newsletter, reaching out to diverse strata of society, as it tries to break down BSES’ actions in a consumer-friendly and easy way.

Braile Bills

Demonstrating its commitment to being an inclusive organisation that empowers all sections of its consumers, BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) and BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) have launched electricity bills in Braille for the visually impaired on eve of the World Braille Day on January 4, 2023.

With this, BSES has become the first discom in the city and only among a handful in the country, which has launched a bill in Braille. Apart from the bill in Braille, the discom also launched the upgraded and voice-enabled accessible Mobile App and door-step services for the visually impaired.

Pollution in Delhi

With rising pollution levels in the national capital of Delhi, BSES wished to start a public service campaign to help citizens reduce their carbon footprint and opt for more eco-friendly methods of energy consumption.

Sub-stations and Transformers

BSES wished to brand their new sub-stations and transformers in the city. The branding messages were to include eco-friendly options for energy consumption, as well as other steps taken by the discom to help benefit consumers.

With rising temperatures across the national capital, BSES issued a summer advisory campaign across social media and emailers to help struggling consumers cope with energy efficient methods of staying cool during the aggressive Delhi summer.
